Richfield Heritage Preserve is a 336-acre hidden treasure located in Richfield, Ohio. With lakes, streams, wooded trails and historic structures, Richfield Heritage Preserve is a must-see in Northeast Ohio. Oviatt House is located within the Preserve, near the southwest corner of the park.

The mission of the Richfield Joint Recreation Department (RJRD) is to safeguard, support and maintain the natural properties of Richfield while encouraging recreational and educational opportunities in our community. RJRD Board meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month, with the exceptions of February and December. Meetings are open to the public. Click here for a list of this year's meetings.

The mission of the Richfield Historical Society is to preserve and interpret the history of Richfield, by collecting and preserving records and articles of interest, as well as to promote interest in and educate the public about the people and events that have shaped our rich history by making available to interested parties such historical information as may be obtainable.

Richfield Town Trust's mission: To make the Historic District of Richfield, Ohio the center of community life and activity that is attractive, pedestrian friendly, lively and in keeping with the historic character of the area, by coordinating the efforts of private individuals, local government and businesses.

The Friends of Richfield Heritage Preserve is a 501(c)(3) non-profit advocacy group partnering with the Richfield Joint Recreation District to protect, preserve, enhance and promote Richfield Heritage Preserve. Current projects include restoration of Kirby's Mill; stabilization of Kirby House, Amity House, and North House; removal of invasive plant species and restoration of native species; and weekly cleaning and maintenance of park facilities.
