Winter 2023 Achievements

Oviatt House now has a permanent power line connected to Ohio Edison! Thanks to Chuck Rankin, Ken Brown and Ken Bowman for performing the hard (and dirty) work of digging the trench from the pole to the house. Always planning ahead, an empty conduit was installed in the electrical trench for the potential of a future wifi hookup to aid in the educational offerings that the future museum may provide. Additionally, we are grateful to Green Integrated Services who donated and installed underground electric service and a new breaker panel.

And thanks to Dominion Energy, who braved a cold installation on a snowy day, we now have a new gas line and meter. With the gas and electric service in place, the hard working crew at Broadview Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. not only completed the installation of a beautiful new Rheem furnace and central air conditioning unit, but they donated it too!
