Work Week - 9-26-2022

A lot was accomplished during the week of September 26th.

• The rotted wood floor that was under the demolished bathroom was removed exposing mortises in the beam below.  This informed us of the location of the original doorway leading from the living room to the back of the house.  We will rebuild this wall and locate the doorway in it's original location.
• Volunteers removed nails from the dining room walls and ceiling.  Yes, more nail-pulling!
• The exterior chimney on the south side of the house was removed and the bricks & masonry hauled away.  This back-breaking work was worth the satisfaction of knowing that another milestone had been completed!
• Another back-breaking job was the break-up and removal of the concrete slab in front of the front door.
