Work Week - 9-19-2022
The week of September 19th was spent working on two high-priority items.
The first priority was cleaning, stripping and painting the exterior siding on the back of the house, between the upper roof and the roof over the one-story addition. This needed to be done prior to the application of shingles on the addition's roof. It was hard work but gratifying, having a section of siding restored and showing its final color.
The second priority was preparing for the weekend's fundraising and open house event. A lot of effort went into clearing out the first and second floors and cleaning (as best as can be done at a construction site!). We also took great care in identifying and remediating any hazards, knowing that people of all sizes, ages and physical abilities will be touring the house.
This all-volunteer work was done while the roofers worked applying cedar shingles on the roof at the front of the house.
